Privacy Policy

Stitched Strategy LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Cookie mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Audio Data

We collect voice recordings when you use voice commands. Audio is sent to Apple's servers for speech recognition using Apple's Speech Recognition framework. Apple processes the audio and returns text transcriptions to the App. We do not store or transmit voice audio to any other parties. Text transcriptions are processed locally and may be sent to third-party services only for Premium subscribers as described in Section 3.

1.2 Usage Data and Analytics

We automatically collect usage data through Firebase Analytics, including app interactions, feature usage, errors, crashes, and performance metrics. This data is anonymized and not linked to your personal identity.

1.3 User Content

We collect and store URLs and content from third-party recipe websites that you choose to import, including recipe titles, ingredients, instructions, and images. This content is cached locally on your device (50MB memory cache, 200MB disk cache).

1.4 Device Information

We access certain device information through Apple system APIs as disclosed in our Privacy Manifest (PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy), including file timestamps for cache management, user defaults for preferences storage, and system boot time for timer functionality.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Provide and maintain the App's functionality, including voice control and recipe management
• Analyze usage patterns and improve App performance and features
• Provide Premium features, including AI-powered assistance and enhanced text-to-speech
• Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and errors

3. Third-Party Services

3.1 Firebase Analytics

We use Google Firebase Analytics to collect anonymized usage data. Firebase Analytics is governed by Google's Privacy Policy available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

3.2 Third-Party Recipe Content

When you import a recipe URL, the App connects directly to the source website to retrieve content. We do not intercept or store this data on our servers. Recipe content and images are cached locally on your device.

3.3 Google Gemini API (Premium Only)

Premium subscribers who use AI-powered features consent to sending text transcriptions of voice commands and recipe context (ingredients, instructions, timing information) to Google's Gemini API for processing. Voice audio is never transmitted.

3.4 Google Cloud Text-to-Speech (Premium Only)

Premium subscribers receive voice responses generated by Google Cloud Text-to-Speech. Only text is transmitted to this service. Free tier users receive voice responses generated entirely on-device using Apple's neural text-to-speech.

4. Data Storage and Retention

Recipe data, preferences, and cached images are stored locally on your device using iOS standard storage mechanisms. Voice audio is processed in real-time and never stored. Voice transcriptions are discarded after command processing (Premium subscribers: transcriptions are sent to Google services as described above). Analytics data is retained by Firebase pursuant to Google's data retention policies.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data with third parties only as follows:

• Service Providers: Google (Firebase Analytics, Gemini API, Cloud Text-to-Speech) as described in Section 3
• Legal Requirements: When required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request
• Protection of Rights: To protect the rights, property, or safety of the Company, users, or others

6. International Data Transfers

The App uses services operated by Google, which may process data in the United States and other countries outside your country of residence. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to these jurisdictions, which may have different data protection laws than your country.

You may exercise the following rights:

• Access: All data is stored locally on your device and accessible through iOS file management
• Deletion: Uninstalling the App removes all associated data. In-app data management options are available in the About section
• Analytics Opt-Out: Limit analytics through iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements
• Voice Control: Disable voice features in App settings to use touch-only interface
• Premium Features: Cancel subscription to discontinue data sharing with Google services

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information.

10. Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at this URL with an updated "Last Updated" date. Material changes will be communicated through the App. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
